L.A.M.B.S stands for Living As My Bible Says. Our mission is to share the Gospel with children at all times, teaching them God’s Word so they remain rooted in Him as they grow. We believe that when children come to know Christ at a young age, they will carry His truth throughout their lives.

Beyond teaching God’s Word, we also nurture children in true worship, as Matthew 21:16 says, “From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise.” Our objective is to follow Jesus’ command in Luke 18:16 to let the children come to Him, knowing the Kingdom of God belongs to those with childlike faith.

L.A.M.B.S carries the responsibility of preaching the Gospel not just to children in a single community but to those all around the world. We desire to see countless children come to know God as their Father and love Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. Recognizing the vital role of parents, we also engage them to support their children’s faith journey, because anyone who does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.

L.A.M.B.S has numerous activities aimed at bringing children closer to Jesus, one of which is Vacation Bible School (VBS). This event was held during the summer holidays from August 18th to 20th, 2021, at Quality International School. Each morning began with children arriving at the school from 7:30 AM, transported by bus to and from the venue. Volunteers welcomed and ushered them to the hall, while a security guard ensured their safety and a janitor ensured everyone wore face masks and used hand sanitizer.

On the first day, around 208 children attended from various schools, churches, and backgrounds. The principal of Quality International School, Madame Rockzine, opened the event by encouraging the children to always stand with Jesus, who alone gives true success. Brother Simon then shared the Word of God based on Psalm 139:1 with the theme “God Knows You,” reminding every child that they are known, treasured, and that God is placing the right friends in their lives to align them with His perfect plan. The day was successful, and the children eagerly looked forward to the next.

The second day saw an increase in attendance to 300 children. The day began with prayers, praise, and worship, and the VBS song, followed by words of encouragement from Vice Principal Mr. Awasum, who spoke on the importance of education in giving them dignity and purpose in society. Brother Simon shared the message “God Forgives” from Nehemiah 9:17, teaching that God readily forgives when we repent because He loves us and desires that each child know His Son. The session ended with an altar call where many children gave their lives to Jesus and received His forgiveness, to God’s glory.

On the third and final day, attendance was limited to older children. The day featured competitions such as a football tournament, quizzes, and African games like “doushine,” “sizou,” and “Tabalak.” The event concluded with awards, photos, and interviews, creating lasting memories for all the children involved.
